Running for money - the new blockchain trend

How does the run to make money model work?

To join StepN, users need to purchase an NFT of sneakers in the app and start running. The amount of money earned per day depends on the type of shoe owned and mobility skills. To increase the amount of money collected, users can level up, repair shoes or use gems to upgrade attributes.

On average, new players need about 1,000 USD in exchange value to be able to buy shoes and start earning. This model is similar to buying pets or characters to play NFT games. Participants can now purchase shoes directly from the app developer or from previous players.

Thanh Binh said that if compared with a famous P2E game like Axie Infinity in the early stages, the investment price of a pair of NFT shoes in StepN is equivalent to setting up a pet squad in the game. "However, Axie Infinity lets you try it out and StepN doesn't. You have to spend money to buy shoes at a high price, calculate the parameters yourself to be optimal. Every mistake can cost money."
